Dr Aparna Hegde is a gynecologist with an experience over two decades. Over the years she gained extensive experience in vaginal pelvic reconstructive surgery for both prolapse and incontinence. Her expertise lies in procedures such as laparoscopic myomectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic endometriosis surgery laparoscopic adhesiolysis and other advanced endoscopic procedures. She is adept at various other vaginal surgical treatments as well.
Dr Hegde has an impressive academic and training background. She completed her M.B.B.S from the Lokmanya Tilak Medical College & General Hospital, after which she did her D.G.O (ObGyn), F.C.P.S – where she won a gold medal. She also earned her D.N.B, M.R.C.O.G from the Royal College Obstetrics & Gynaecology in the UK, as well as an M.D (ObGyn). She even has a Master’s Degree in Biology from the prestigious Stanford University, in the USA.
Dr Hegde has done fellowship in Endoscopic Surgery at the Bombay Endoscopy Academy and Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery, and IUGA International Fellowship in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery from Cleveland Clinic in Florida, USA.
She has a keen interest in imparting knowledge to young medical students and is also an esteemed member of various organizations, such as the Education Committee and Fellows Committee of the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) and Mumbai Obstetrics and Gynecological Society, among others.
